In a week filled with road closures and restricted access to Center City, why not plan to spend a quiet couple of hours at Historic RittenhouseTown relaxing along the banks of the Paper Mill Run or beginning a leisurely walk along Forbidden Drive? Our once bustling village of over 45 buildings on 200 acres is now a peaceful spot where you can explore the grounds around the six surviving Rittenhouse structures dating from 1707. You will find our entrance on Wissahickon Avenue between Lincoln Drive and Walnut Lane – just look for the white sign and turn into our driveway. Look for a walking tour brochure at the kiosk at the top of the hill and in the literature box next to the bridge. There are three parking areas located along the village road. If this is not a good time for you, please visit in the coming weeks as our trees welcome the fall season with a riotous display of color. Although the days grow shorter, the sun is still warm!
