Dear Friends & Neighbors,
This year has been an exciting one for Historic RittenhouseTown! Filled with school children and visitors of all ages, the village has been a busy and vibrant spot! We are particularly proud of our accomplishments and would like to share just a few of them with you.
The John J. Snyder, Jr. Fund for Historic RittenhouseTown continued to provide much needed annual income for the restoration, maintenance and repair of our six Rittenhouse structures! Visit our website to see our improvements!
Thanks to the generous support of the Jane E. Cohen Foundation we completed the exterior restoration work at the ca. 1845 Enoch Rittenhouse Home.
John Mercanti, retired chief engraver/sculptor for the US Mint received the 4th David Rittenhouse Award. This important fundraising event raised much needed income for our day to day operations.
Our Community Collaboration efforts included Comcast Cares Day in the spring, Penn Charter Day of Service in both the spring and fall and Germantown Academy Day of Service this fall. Our volunteers make so many things possible!
With the successful completion of Phase I of the Strategic Plan, we are crafting Phase II of the Plan which will focus on the village landscape and include our Vision for the Future. We will introduce it to stakeholders in the coming year.
Please give as generously as you can. We promise to spend your contributions wisely.
Barbara Rittenhouse, Board President
