favorite resident astronomer, David Rittenhouse!

David Rittenhouse, was born in RittenhouseTown in 1732.  David was an astronomer, instrument maker, mathematician, founding father, and one of the leading scientists of the 18th century. 

On Monday April 8th a total solar eclipse will be visible in Philadelphia from 2-4pm.  Come out and observe with Historical Interpreter Michael Carver as he shares his observations from the perspective of David Rittenhouse.
