Fall is a wonderful time at RittenhouseTown. Days are warm and sunny and our trees along the banks of the Paper Mill Run provide a spectacular backdrop of red, orange and gold for our 26th Annual Paper Mill Run 5K Race and RittenhouseTown Revel. The 26th Annual Paper Mill Run 5K Race starts off the weekend on Saturday, September 12th at 10AM. The 5K begins and ends in the Village and takes runners out onto Fairmount Park’s scenic Forbidden Drive which winds along the Wissahickon Creek. On Sunday afternoon, friends and neighbors will gather at the 1707 Rittenhouse Homestead for RittenhouseTown Revel. Sample Yards’ Ales of the Revolution along with local wines. Enjoy food prepared by the culinary arts program at Ready Willing and Able. Listen to music from the Model T’s! Lawn games will challenge people of all ages and the banks of the Paper Mill Run will offer a quiet place to relax and enjoy the afternoon. Your $35 Revel ticket price includes everything!

Please join us. Proceeds from both events support Historic RittenhouseTown’s education program which welcomes nearly 2000 school children each year to learn what life was like in the 18th century, make paper using the same tools and techniques as the Rittenhouse family did 325 years ago and prepare an authentic colonial recipe in our ca. 1725 Bake House.

Oh! And the Eagles do not play on Sunday!
