
Historic Rittenhouse Town is open to the public from dawn to dusk.
Check out our historic buildings and cross the bridge over Paper Mill Run to see the original Homestead and Bake House. Sit by the flowing waters as the evening winds down. Spend a morning or afternoon hiking the trails nearby, and grab an expresso based drink or fresh baked good from the PaperTrail Cafe.
Public Tours of the 1707 Homestead
Public tours are offered on the hour at 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm. On select Saturdays between Memorial Day to Labor Day. Arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start of the tour at the 207 homestead entrance to meet your guide.
Pay as you wish/Donation only tours are available during our events. Free tours are offered during special Museum Days throughout the year.
Schedule a Tour of the Historic Buildings
We’d love to show you around and provide a sense of the rich history here. Private Tours are available by appointment and can be scheduled at admin@rittenhousetown.org. Private tours are $20 per person. For parties of 1-3 there is a minimum of a $50 charge.

Private Tours begin at the Rittenhouse Town Visitor Center at 208 Lincoln Drive and include a visit to the 1707 Rittenhouse Homestead, ca. 1725 Bake House and the ca. 1845 Enoch Rittenhouse Home.

The main entrance to the village is from Wissahickon Avenue.
