This past weekend Historic RittenhouseTown hosted not one but two events.
On Saturday we welcomed runners from around the region to our 26th Annual Paper Mill Run 5K Race. Participants ran our 5K race along Fairmount Park’s Forbidden Drive. Winners earned a limited edition medal and a chance to win our raffle basket. All runners received a goody bag compliments of National Penn Bank, our sponsor, and a limited edition t-shirt. Our many volunteers helped the event run smoothly. Thanks to Pretzel City Sports for timing this race that has become a fall tradition!
On Sunday family, friends and neighbors joined in the fun at RittenhouseTown Revel. Everyone sampled local wines, Yards Ales, food from the Culinary Arts Program at Ready Willing & Able and listened to the Model T’s. Folks played lawn games and relaxed in hammocks in the shade. Deb Peterson, our cook interpreter, prepared pretzels in the ca. 1725 Bake House’s bee hive oven and served with homemade mustard! Eight lucky visitors won raffle baskets! The afternoon was a relaxing way to end a busy fall weekend!
